Kaze HKBN NAT VPS Assessment
This is a test of Kaze’s HKBN residential broadband NAT product, positioned as a Hong Kong residential NAT that China Mobile can connect to directly. Network For outbound routing, Telecom and Mobile see severe packet loss, while Unicom is acceptable. Inbound backhaul utilizes the three major backbones, with similarly high loss on Telecom/Mobile and okay performance on Unicom. Actually, HKBN generally applies single-IP speed limits for connections towards Mainland China, which aligns perfectly with test results—even during off-peak hours, rates struggle to exceed 10Mbps, and heavy retransmit breaks exist. It is not suitable as a transit node even if latency looks “okay”, but highly recommended for landing or exit purposes.
